More pics from Thanksgiving

A very happy baby on a very special Thanksgiving!
Grandpa and Jeff carving up the turkey

Drew had turkey for the first time, he loved it! No surprise there, he loves all food!

Everyone huddled around the dinner table, I even got to use our wedding China!

Great Grandma making her delicious gravy, she also made her famous dressing.

Happy Thanksgiving

This year we celebrated two firsts for Thanksgiving! Of course, Drew's first Thanksgiving and it was our first time for us to host Thanksgiving dinner. Luckily I didn't totally ruin the turkey! We felt very fortunate to have my grandmother join us. Grandma and my mom were around to give me some pointers on the turkey (everyone was relieved to hear that I wasn't the only one in the kitchen :)

The Start of a Beautiful Friendship

Well, I couldn't resist sharing these photos of Drew and our fur baby Ollie. I can tell they are going to be great friends. Oliver has been so patient with Drew, he let's Drew pet him and Ollie even shares his ball with Drew. Although Ollie wants Drew to throw the ball for him to play fetch, Ollie is very sweet and usually lets Drew keep the ball until I intervene! Here are some pics of Ollie, Drew and Ollie's Baby (a stuffed minature doxie)

New Digs!

Well, it's been awhile since we've posted. The last month has been a busy one, we finally moved into our new house. Even though it was only two miles away from our old house, moving with an infant who is on the move has been challenging! The house is a work in progress but we are slowly settling in and not a moment too soon! Drew has been hard at work learning to crawl and has started crawling. He now goes from laying on the floor to sitting up on his own, he pulls up in his crib to stand and wants to use anything within reach to pull up. He is quite the busybody!
First Halloween
In October we celebrated Halloween at our church carnival and dressed Drew up in whatelse but an adorable puppy costume (courtesy of Mimi and Papa Jim). Drew didn't do much trick or treating this year, after all his bedtime is 7pm, but it was fun dressing him up nonetheless!
Drew also made his first trip the the zoo. Most of the animals were in hiding the day we were there, but he really enjoyed watching his friend Nolan run around. Drew loves to watch little kids play and talk, he is so facinated by them! Here are some pics from the last month, I will try and post more often!

Baby D milestones

Our little guy is 6 months old, well almost 7 months. He is an absolute angel and has the greatest disposition. He delights and amazes us everyday. At his 6 month check up he weighed 21lbs 2 oz (90th percentile) and 28.5 inches (95th percentile). He also got his first tooth the day before his 6 month birthday and his second tooth about two weeks later. Baby D loves to eat and has pretty much liked everything we have tried so far! (I know, we are extremely lucky) Not only does he love to eat, he is extremely active! We catch him on all fours rocking back and forth often. Yesterday, Nana and I saw him pull up to a standing position in his crib. His Daddy and I have a feeling that we will have our work cut out for us!

First Foods

Well, our Baby D has been introduced to food. Well, baby food, probably not as tantalizing as adult stuff, but nonetheless, the little guy has been eating cereal, bananas and avocados. Yes, avocados, everyone seems amazed when I say that. He doesn't seem to discriminate, so far everything that has been put in front of him he has loved. Here are some pics of his first meal!

So Long Cowboy...

Baby D had to say goodbye to his Uncle Caleb this month. Caleb is headed off to be a Cowboy at Oklahoma State. Baby D loves his Uncle and sure does love hanging out with him. We sure will miss him!

Baby D is baptized!

This weekend we celebrated the baptism of our little one. We were so blessed to have some of our family join us to witness such a special event. My grandmother came to meet Drew for the very first time! We are so honored that she joined us, the trip is not an easy one!

Well, never say never...

Well, I've finally done it. I started a blog. I always said I would NEVER blog, but since I have become a mommy, I've done lots of things I said I would NEVER do. So here it is our family blog, I have started this blog mainly to help remember all the wonderful things that I may not remember later. Our Baby D smiles, expressions and funny things that we may never remember to write down in a book. So welcome to our online scrapbook of The Hilliard's in Big D.
